12 Things We Wish Men Understood!!!

Men, you wouldn’t think we were all that complicated if you could just get these 12 simple things about us.

1. Sometimes we just want you to listen. Advice is nice. But sometimes all we really want is for you to stroke our hair and let us complain about how tough life is. We all have these days. Allow us to indulge every now and again.

2. We don’t automatically want to marry you. Just because we’re dating doesn't mean our ultimate goal is to lock you down permanently. Sometimes, we’re with you because it feels good now – we’re not thinking as far into the future as you assume we are.

3. Stubble burn can scar us for life. Well, not for life but that sh*t is painful. If you want to make out for hours on end, please get rid of any and all stubble. Then we’ll be happy to oblige.

4. We have more than, like, two erogenous zones. Find them, or ask us where they are. We’re not made of boob alone. 

5. Getting ready for an event is part of the event. We know you think we take an unnecessary amount of time to prepare for a night out but pampering ourselves and spending hours on our hair and makeup is SO MUCH FUN! Plus, we don’t hear you complaining when our prep-time makes us feel sexy AF.

6. We want you to be honest. Seriously, tell us what you’re really thinking and feeling instead of trying to spare our feelings. And – no ghosting if you break up with us! Tell us what went wrong so we don’t have to spend the next few weeks wondering WTF happened.

7. Don’t compare us to your mom. It’s nice that your mom cooks incredible food and packs lunches for you and washes your clothes. But we are not her so don’t expect us to raise you.

8. We like it when you’re vulnerable. You think we’re into that strong, macho thing, and we are – sometimes. We like it even more when you’re not afraid to open up to us. That’s what we’re here for.

9. Being occasionally emotional does not make us ‘crazy’. Stop calling women crazy the second they feel something. Just stop!

10. Sometimes we love an excuse to get dressed up. So, you know, nights spent in front of the TV with takeout are great but take us somewhere nice every now and again. Let us shine in the dress gathering dust in the back of the cupboard.

11. If you want to cheat on us, break up with us. This will hurt way, way less than your being unfaithful.

12. We’re stronger than you think. Whatever it is you think we can’t take … we can !!!
